What’s Happening In March At The Harrogate Caravan Park?

You might think that March is a long way from the traditional caravan and camping season, but we are getting steadily busier now and there is certainly plenty going on at the Harrogate Caravan Park at this time of year. Of course the buds are just starting to show, there are a few crocuses and daffodils appearing and the mornings and evenings are getting that little bit lighter. So summer is definitely on its way, but we thought it would be a good time to update all our loyal customers with what is going on, as you check in with us on the website and look to make your holiday bookings with us for later in the year.

Careful on the grass

As you can imagine, although there’s a bit more warmth creeping in to the sun at this time of year, our grass is still very wet and the temperatures won’t dry it out during the day. So we are advising people to please avoid driving across the grass to your pitch, unless we specifically advise you do so.

There are pathways suitable for a vehicle leading to all our pitches, and in some cases you may have to park a little further from your caravan, tent or motorhome. But until the weather gets much warmer it can be hazardous to drive across the grass and certainly to leave your vehicle parked on the grass for any length of time, because the ground is still very soft. We will advise when this instruction changes and thanks for your co-operation.

A big thank you

Already in early March we are quite busy with people booking pitches, and many of these are our loyal customers who keep returning time after time and year after year. Much of our business is both repeat business and through word-of-mouth, and we know that our loyal customers are really happy with what we provide and our location in the middle of the vast, adventure park that is Yorkshire. To a business like ours, that repeat custom and the personal recommendations we know you give out, are hugely important. So we just want to say a big ‘thank you’ to our loyal customers who keep coming back to support us, and we hope you continue to enjoy the same standards and the same memorable holidays in Yorkshire with us, for many years to come.

Check our What’s On Guide before looking to book

If you have a particular weekend in mind to come and stay with us, it is always worth looking to see what is on in the area around us. Our location is right next to the Great Yorkshire Showground, and there are always plenty of events at the surrounding venues, the Yorkshire Event Centre and Pavilions of Harrogate. For example, we are fully booked for the weekend of 24-26th March because of the Yorkshire Motorhome Show at the Great Yorkshire Showground. However, if you fancy a last minute trip, this coming weekend of 17th-19th March looks set to be a good one weather-wise so please do give us a call on 01423 546145 if you would like to pitch up this weekend. Pavilions of Harrogate are also hosting the Harrogate Premier Book Fair on Friday/Saturday with £2.00 entry – or free if you sign up to the PBFA website – www.pbfa.org.

There is always something going on, so it is worth finding out because this will have a huge bearing on our availability for certain weekends, and perhaps avoids disappointment. We will always endeavour to offer alternative dates if you call us with queries on availability, so get in touch and we will do our best to fit you in.
